ACTIVITY AREAS OF OUR FOUNDATION FROM ITS ESTABLISHMENT TO PRESENT       

EDUCATION 

Generations trained physically, spiritually and mentally…

Comprehensive and important works are carried out in education area by our foundation. Numerous schools, cultural centers, library and mosques are constructed, and many private schools are established and operated in many parts of our country. 

 

Conferences, seminars, panels, open sessions, competitions are organized in various scientific, ideological, current, cultural, health and art subjects; bulletins and magazines are published; book sales organizations are arranged, vacation and recreations, and national and religious days and nights, celebration programs are organized.

 

Reunion meetings, summer schools, cultural and historical excursions, recreation and entertainment programs oriented towards introducing Turkish and Islamic intellectuals are organized. 

 

All kinds of support are provided for the research and investigation studies with various preparatory courses oriented towards students in all levels. 

 

Programs, which are oriented towards the primary and secondary school students and people in all ages, which are educative, didactic, informative, directive and investigative, in a manner appropriate to the level of each grade, having university preparative and foreign language formative attributes, appropriate to be broadcasted on radio, television and internet environment, are prepared by the specialized companies, and broadcasted in various broadcasting institutions within the framework of common public education. 

 

Many hostels have been opened in many parts of Turkey, and outstanding, intelligent, well-behaved students lived in peace and comfort and are fed in these hostels.  

 

We helped thousands of students to complete their education in more comfort by providing scholarships. 

 

Currently educational scholarships are provided to many students to meet all their needs. Educational aids are provided to students studying in primary and secondary school education but in need of financial assistance for them to continue with their education in various private schools, and are benefited from the quotas of our foundation. 

 

SOLIDARITY 

Most benevolent work: solidarity

In-kind aids such as food, clothing, fuel and financial aids are provided to people in need of financial aid in the direction of their requirements. 

 

Food aids are provided to many needy families in Istanbul and some other cities during the months of Ramadan. 

 

Feast of Sacrifice (Eid) donations made to our Foundation are distributed to those in need. 

Regular in--kind and financial aids are provided to many poor families.  

 

Kosovo Aid

Food and other humanitarian aids in large scale were provided to this region in coordination with Turkish Red Crescent during Kosovo War in 1998  

 

Earthquake Works: Resound comprehensive and significant services are provided in all earthquake regions by our Foundation from the first day onwards in 17 August 1999 and 12 November 1999 earthquakes:

 

Material support is provided with physical participation in search and rescue works.

Tons of food aid is supplied

Hot meal is provided to thousands of people throughout a period of two months.

Hundreds of portable and winter tents are distributed.

Comprehensive health services are provided

Numerous prefabricated premises are constructed and delivered as ready to use.

All kinds of other public relief and financial assistance in large amounts are provided 

 

Aid to Indonesia 

Our Foundation constructed a building to be used as food/nourishment distribution centre in city of Bantul of Yogyakarta Province due to earthquake and tsunami disasters occurred in friendly and brother country Indonesia in recent years, and food/nourishment distribution is started in this building.  

 

FRIENDSHIP 

Candid, bona fide and outright friendships… 

“In our opinion, love is an activity, source of good deed and a very sweet thing. Its spread is very important. We want our heart full with love and respect and our people to be brothers. But unfortunately our people are detached and separated from each other and artificial walls are erected between them, brought into a state so that they are unable to cooperate with and help to each other.  They are brought into a state that they can not hear the problems of each other and find solutions for them. Friendship and solidarity works bear great importance in order to be saved from this state...”.

Great importance is attached to solidarity and friendship works necessary for a community and the individuals forming it to live tranquillity and safety, and remain standing, to be efficient and to generate beneficial services for entire humanity. Many felicitation and dining programs are organized in Holly Nights and religious holidays. Various hospitals, nursing homes, hospices and voluntary institutions are visited. Activities to improve neighborhood relations are organized. Various meetings, excursions and picnics are organized to improve the social relations. 

 

In the name of sharing pains, visits are made on times of individual’s sad and difficult times such as illnesses, accidents; condolences are announced relating to the deceased ones.

        

They are very valuable… 

All kinds of health assistance, social and moral support provided to people who are in need of attention and care in terms of health, social and moral aspects lead by the elderly who made contributions to our foundation and contributed to our foundation in some way or another, to lead a life in peace and comfort. 

 

OUR OTHER WORKS 

“My proposition; all of us must love and respect towards all kinds of historical artworks. The necessary inculcations must be given on this subject in a serious manner in school education, and also awareness must be created in community through common public education.

Numerous ancestry heirloom historic artworks, which turned into ruins, are restored by our Foundation, and contributions made so that our cultural values are transferred to the next generations, such as Ahmet Kamil Effendi Lodge in Fatih, Sheikh Murad Effendi Lodge in Eyup Sultan and Atik Valide Sultan Lodge in Uskudar…

 

Also, the restoration of Iskenderpaşa mosque situated in Istanbul-Fatih, which is damaged by the 1999 Marmara earthquake have been made by our Foundation.  

 

Many esteemed benevolent who adopted the objectives of our Foundation and appreciated our works have donated many properties to our Foundation since its establishment to present, and the revenues gained from these properties constituted very important source of finance for the activities of our Foundation. 

Our Foundation makes contributions to education and culture of our country, development of friendship and solidarity between people and the strengthening of social structure. 

 

Remembrance and Gratitude… 

First of all, we remember with gratitude, love, respect and compassion, the deceased scholar Prof. Dr. Mahmud Es'ad COŞAN effendi, who was the founder of our Foundation and held the position as the president of board of trustees. 

 

Also, we extent our most heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed administrators and personnel held position in the general headquarters and branches of our foundation from its establishment to present, to the benevolent who donated properties and other donations to our Foundation, and to all men of heart friends who provided support and contributions to our Foundation in one way or another, and remember with compassion and pray for God’s blessing on the deceased ones.

Significant, contemporary, pioneering, effective and efficient new works are added to our works which we mentioned here briefly, and are efforts to spread these services in a manner to cover larger portion of our community and people in need and all over the world.
